Beat The Holiday Blues “The Holiday Blues” is a condition that begins around the Thanksgiving holiday, causing stress and anxiety throughout the winter and until after New Year’s. Even for people who don't regularly suffer from depression or anxiety, the idea of entering a crowded room and chatting up co-workers or strangers at a party, exchanging gifts with friends or colleagues, traveling from home, or attending large family gatherings are all triggers. The National Alliance on Mental Illness reports that over 40 million people, 18 yrs old and up, suffer from anxiety or depression. During the holidays, the numbers go up, and include people who aren't normally affected. As a trained medical intuitive, coach and former fitness trainer, it's a subject I'm very familiar with. Thanksgiving Gratitude

Thanksgiving Gratitude So... how was your Thanksgiving? Did you have all of your favorite dishes with time to reminisce and chillax?! Here's a slice of my day.... it started with connecting with long-distance friends via texting and email. Don't you love the ease of sending a text? Immediate connection at your fingertips! I moseyed around and eased into my day before heading over to my friend Lisa's house to water her plants and check up on her house. Lisa is one of the most generous people I know, and the biggest gift I get from her is to spend time at her home with her and her beautiful children. Whether it's a short or extended visit, it's a visit that warms my heart every time! Lisa has also extended her generosity with fabulous dinner & garden parties, concerts, movies and fun social outings. Grateful & Greatful

              What are you Grateful for that will make you Greatful? As you prepare for your Holiday thanks, and I'm sure a superb meal, what are you Grateful for?  Take a minute to be silent with yourself and reflect on all of the wonder, beauty and even chaos that keeps you grounded in who you are.  Take another moment to jot down what comes to mind.  As you reflect on your list, how can you take yourself from Grateful to Greatful? As you express your gratitude, think about how your reflections can make you Great.  The seemingly simple act of being grateful can uplift you to new heights of greatness.  Really take in what you've written on that piece of paper and realize how powerful you are, and how much you contribute to yourself and others.  It's something to be proud of - don't overlook anything.  Start stepping into your Greatfulness, and continue to be Grateful!
