3 most common Holiday struggles….. and what to do about them!

What do you think are the 3 most common things people struggle with during the Holidays? They're probably the things you struggle with too....... stress, weight gain and depression.  Yup, those are the top 3 things I've heard from clients consistently during the Holidays in my 20+ years in the Fitness/Wellness industry. 1.  STRESS People get totally stressed out during the Holiday season with all the shopping, parties, baking, etc.  They don't have time to themselves, they feel really thrown off schedule and are just constantly rushing around.  My recommendations are: - make yourself a priority & get to the gym to workout your stress - shorten your regular workout time with a quick routine or class - throw in a 15 minute chair massage to get pampered 2.  WEIGHT GAIN Between Thanksgiving and New Year's, the average person gains 5 lbs!  Are you average?  Would you rather be above average?!  Begin a new tradition this Holiday season, and fit into your clothes all season long...

Boost your Brain, Feed your Heart

Boost your Brain, Feed your Heart I do all I can to keep myself in a healthy zone, especially after being with my mother while she had one of her first strokes.  After her stroke, my mother was very disoriented and had slurred speech, as if she were drunk.  On her first few strokes, this state would last for a few days, and then she would come around, losing more memory each time, until she eventually succumbed to vascular dementia. Jack LaLanne was inspired at an early age to pursue a healthy lifestyle, and turned his life around from being a juvenile delinquent to become our leading Fitness Guru of all time.  Blazing a trail pretty much unheard of in the early 1930's, Jack explored weight lifting, chiropractic studies and body building.  He opened the first health club in Oakland, CA in 1936. Jack has had a legion of followers since his beginning and became known for his incredible strength and endurance.  He became legendary for his creation for our most popular gym equipment to date - the leg extension and pulley cable machines. One of the strongest voices in Fitness, Jack LaLanne, spread his word for over 70 years.  As a long time advocate, Jack has helped millions improve the quality of their lives with his no nonsense, straight forward approach to fitness. ...
