Motivation Monday: Are You Ready To Fly
7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 - Jump!
If anyone had said to me you'd be jumping out of a plane, I'd say you're crazy! Well, it's happening in one week - the countdown is on. It hasn't been a bucket list item, a burning desire, or even something I've ever really wanted to do. As I was approaching my birthday, I did want to do something big to Celebrate my life. A skydive is what appeared in my inbox, and I said 'YES' to it. It was a decision that was made confidently and quickly.
Am I afraid of heights? I have been in the past. The highest I've gotten off the ground was zip-lining in Mexico a few years ago. Funny thing is, height hasn't been an issue. Why? My intention and place I said 'YES' from didn't arise from fear. My desire and decision came from a place of giving something special to myself. All that is entering my mind are positive aspects of my outcome.....
- Celebrating my life
- Getting out of my comfort zone
Although I've always had a sense of adventure and was a bit of a dare devil for a time (ok, at times, more like reckless), I don't participate in adventure or extreme sports. Is there a future for me? We'll see, lol. Up until now, the greatest sense of exhilaration I've experienced was doing a 'superman' being pushed through the water at high speed by 2 dolphins.
In a way, I feel like I'm giving myself my life back. I've taken my hits - literally and figuratively. I've hit the lowest of lows, and Life has come at me in many unexpected ways. I've explored many aspects of my life on physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual and energetic levels. Now that I'm on the 'other side,' I have a better sense of myself, I'm stronger in many aspects of my being, and I am at a higher level of consciousness. Now I'm ready for a big re-set.
Will I turn into a speed junkie? I don't think I'll be a repeat flyer, but who knows. What's really important for me is, my heart is open and I'm up for exploring more possibilities to Rock my life 🙂
