An Avocado Heart Avocado facts: Avocado is a great source of carotine, a nutrient that helps the body turn dietary fats into energy It's a phytochemical rich food which may lower your risk for heart disease and cancer Avocados are a monounsaturated fat, helpful in creating a healthy cell environment and lowering LDL cholesterol levels INGREDIENTS 1 tablespoon finely chopped Serrano chile (seeds optional) 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh cilantro Salt Fresh lime juice 2 medium, ripe avocados, pitted 1 to 2 tablespoons crumbled queso fresco 1 tablespoon finely diced fresh tomatillo (from about ½ tomatillo) 1 tablespoon finely chopped red onion DIRECTIONS 1. In the bowl of a mortar, combine the red onion with the Serrano chile, cilantro and 1 teaspoon of salt. Add 2 teaspoons of lime juice and grind the mixture with a pestle until combined. 2. Day 28: Participate!

Day 28:  Participate! When I was young I participated in sports.  I wasn't the best - for quite a while I was a bench warmer!  What I did bring to my team was heart, readiness, and a desire to have fun.  I made nearly every practice and provided a challenge for starting players. I did play a little in high school and held the same status of bench warmer and practice partner, lol.  Being athletic I tried nearly every sport and did gravitate towards biking, tennis and surfing.  As long as it was fun, I was in! Point is, you can always make a difference in whichever groups you choose to be a part of.  As an adult, I still choose venues and events that are fun.  I also belong to groups that make me better on a personal and professional level.  I belong to several Meetups, LinkedIn groups, Mastermind and Coaching groups.  They make me stronger and put me in a...
