Beat The Holiday Blues “The Holiday Blues” is a condition that begins around the Thanksgiving holiday, causing stress and anxiety throughout the winter and until after New Year’s. Even for people who don't regularly suffer from depression or anxiety, the idea of entering a crowded room and chatting up co-workers or strangers at a party, exchanging gifts with friends or colleagues, traveling from home, or attending large family gatherings are all triggers. The National Alliance on Mental Illness reports that over 40 million people, 18 yrs old and up, suffer from anxiety or depression. During the holidays, the numbers go up, and include people who aren't normally affected. As a trained medical intuitive, coach and former fitness trainer, it's a subject I'm very familiar with.
