The Rule of 3: Allow, Decide, Engage

I feel like I’m channeling Jim Morrison while he chants “break on through to the other side.’ As I explore breakthroughs, I find myself wondering, ‘what makes one person more successful in losing 20lbs, or making a million dollars?’ My answer lies in my own chant, “Shatter your Illusion to move past your past.”

How do you first begin to notice the wind’s a blowin’ and you’re reaching for higher ground?  Where is that squeaky wheel?!  Are your tolerations of certain people and circumstances changing?  Do you feel like you’ve outgrown your space – physically and emotionally?  Are you tired of the same old same old? Are you altering your perceptions in areas you’ve held tight to for a while?  Do you stay in the shitty place because you’re afraid to let go? Are you afraid your world, including the people in it, will fall apart?

These are the types of questions most people swim around. I’m always amazed at how many of us will stay stuck in a relationship, trapped by fat in their body or circling in debt because it will rock their world or someone else’s. Let’s just be miserable at our own expense, lol. When do you get to the point that you can say, ‘fuck that shit!’ For most people it comes when they are forced to. And being forced to do anything totally sucks.

In my experience of making my own transformations and guiding others through theirs…… change may cause disruption – get ready to ruffle some feathers!   Set your fears aside of losing everything and everyone in your present life. The people and circumstances who are meant to remain -  will. People get pissy because they aren’t good at accepting change. Be the catalyst! As you improve your life, you will effectively improve everything around you.

Be the catalyst. Take a healthier approach and adapt the Rule of 3: Allow, Decide, Engage.

Allow – give yourself permission to see yourself in a new way and identify the areas a breakthrough of old patterns will free your energy and emotion. You won’t get anywhere unless you allow yourself to have a new perception of yourself.  RE-VISION yourself in your planning and experience that vision when you’ve made the ultimate breakthrough.

Decide – make a decision to start living. Grab hold of all those inner demons that hold you back, so you can shatter your  illusions and move past your past into the life you’ve always desired. Make a healthy decision to put yourself first and live in the authentic nature you’ve been depriving yourself of, trapped in your own B.S.

Engage – fully engage, embody, OWN and enliven the new you as you “break on through to the other side”. If you have truly gotten to your root issues and taken time to nurture your energy and emotions, you will land free and clear into the joyous you you are meant to be. Engage the new you through a lens of healthy perspective that engages you in all possibility and fully sees YOU in that light. Take hold of your brilliant presence and live the life you are destined for.

Shatter Your Illusion and move past your past
Break the mold, smash it to smithereens – whatever it takes to take that useless, lifeless you that no longer serves and obliterate it to the unknown.

Once and for all, move past your past.

Changing your friends really helps move you forward faster. Since you are pretty much like your 5 closest friends when you choose to changer you may want to take a good look at who is in your world and whether those people empower you or hold you stuck.

  2. I am in my own metamorphosis right now, and the biggest part is letting go of who the old me thought I was going to be, and deciding who the me now is choosing to be… I love your post.. thank you!

Going through the Metamorphosis is an exciting process. It gives us
a glimpse of who we’ve been, and what to take with us. I love that you
are ‘deciding who the me now is CHOOSING to be’ – very Powerful!!
Please be in touch if you think I can help you move through any of it.
      All the Best! Paula

What an inspirational blog! Change can be hard though it’s also exciting even when it does mean that we ruffle feathers and leave some behind…
