Biking 101 If you haven't been on your bike in a while, choose a surface  that is fairly flat to build up  your stamina and endurance.  Practice your stroke while you are warming up - make smooth circles as you take your pedal through an entire revolution.  Once you are confident with your performance, add some hills or distance to your route to make your ride more challenging.    Check out these tips....... Get a tune up.  While at the bike shop, let them check your seat and handlebars to make sure they are adjusted properly for you.  Also, ask for some quik tips on using your gears correctly! Need to slow down?  Try the 'feathering technique' - place your hands at the end of the lever, and tap your brakes, applying intermittent pressure as you pedal down the hill. Gym Etiquette – Use a Towel!

I was working out in a private setting with a client this morning, and a gentleman asked to work in with my client on the ab bench.  Of course I said 'yes' and very much appreciated his courtesy in asking.  The downside....... he was soaked from his workout.  USE A TOWEL DUDE ...... that bench was NASTY when you got up!!  Lol.  He was totally oblivious, so I nicely asked him to wipe the equipment down, which he did.  It got me thinking...... maybe many people are just 'unaware',  and prompted me to write this post. Hygiene, sweating, etc. are touchy subjects ..... but they are there.  Here are a few things you may be unaware of that are affecting others with their work out......... Perfume/cologne - it isn't meant for the gym!!  As a matter of fact, it smells downright disgusting.
