Breath of fire, breath of life…… breathe in, breathe out. Out of breath, catch a breath. We get caught up in a moment and just forget to breathe.
Take the edge off your busy Holiday rush and find a moment to focus on your breath. Close your eyes and feel your rhythm. Let your breathing even out. Melt into a relaxed state. Breathe in through your nose, hold, exhale through your mouth. Breathe in through your mouth, hold, exhale through your mouth. Alternate breathing styles and length of time you are holding your breath.
Benefits of a full breath – inhale/exhale (diaphragm breathing):
– get rid of stagnant air
– oxidize the stomach
– shift your energy
– improves circulation
– brings calm
Breathe easier. Take a daily walk and increase your lung capacity. If you smoke, think about quitting. If you suffer from allergies, keep yourself clean by drinking plenty of water and purifying your body with a humidifier and neti pot.
Breathing life is precious – honor it. Be healthy.
